The Story

The VisionMaking magic behind the camera was always in the cards for Ben Hagarty. The world-renowned director, producer, cinematographer, editor, and entrepreneur has cemented himself as a revered and leading creative in the music and entertainment industry.

The IconsYou have likely seen Ben’s creative genius at work through his innovative visual storytelling for industry icons such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Chloë & Halle, Rihanna, Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly, to name a few. Or in the eye-catching global campaigns for Adidas, Apple Music, Canon, Disney, Dutch Bros, EA Games, Elgato, Google, Ivy Park, NFL, Violife, Red Bull, Roc Nation, Sony Music, Spotify, Swisher Sweets, and Peacock.

The Highlight ReelHis highlight reel includes cinematography and BTS documentation for Beyoncé’s memorable Coachella headline and Netflix release, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé (which claimed Best Music Film at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards), tour content for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s sold-out On The Run II Tour, album visuals for Alicia Keys’ immersive release of KEYS, as well as for her YouTube docuseries Noted: Alicia Keys The Untold Stories. Ben made noise as the documentary cinematographer for Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour and the theatrical worldwide release of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

Behind the LensBen magnifies his passion for filmmaking and visual narratives through his work as a Canon Co-Lab Ambassador as well as his platform BWNC (Black With No Cream), an active online community, podcast, and education resource for creators.

Off CameraHe is currently living his best life as a content game changer for world-renowned artists. When Ben is not behind the camera, find him (accidentally) crashing toy planes in a corn field somewhere in Iowa.
