Behind PhotoCON Hawaiʻi

The Noyle Foundation

A Hawaiʻi nonprofit dedicated to expanding creative education and opportunity across all islands.

Where it began

The Noyle Foundation was founded by Honolulu-based photographer Ric Noyle to address a longstanding gap in Hawaiʻi’s creative education landscape. What began in 2017 as a grassroots event called PhotoCON Hawaiʻi has grown into a statewide nonprofit — shaped by educators, industry professionals, and community partners committed to expanding creative access and opportunity across the islands.

Today, PhotoCON Hawaiʻi is the Foundation’s flagship educational program, reaching students and emerging creatives from Oʻahu to the Neighbor Islands.

Our Structure

PhotoCON Hawaiʻi & the Noyle Foundation

  • PhotoCON Hawaiʻi LLC is a wholly owned single-member LLC of the Noyle Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
  • The LLC exists solely to advance the Foundation’s charitable and educational mission.
  • All revenues, expenses, grants, and sponsorships are consolidated into the Foundation’s nonprofit financial reporting.
  • All assets are used exclusively for tax-exempt educational purposes.
  • No profits are distributed. No private benefit exists.

The Challenge

Hawaiʻi’s creative youth are talented — but too many lack access to the professional education, mentorship, and industry exposure they need to build real careers.

📷

Limited Access

Many students lack access to professional creative education and industry mentorship.

💼

Workforce Readiness

Today’s creative economy demands technical, storytelling, and business skills — all at once.

🌺

Neighbor Island Equity

Students outside Oʻahu have fewer opportunities for hands-on instruction and industry exposure.

Our Solution

Creative Bridge Hawaiʻi connects Hawaiʻi’s next generation of creators with real-world education — customized with teachers, delivered by industry professionals, and designed to open doors to creative careers.

How it works

1
Schools identify their creative education needs
2
Teachers select topics aligned with their students
3
Industry professionals are matched to the program
4
Students receive hands-on instruction and mentorship

Real Education. Real Outcomes.

Career pathway exposure
Technical skill development
Industry mentorship
Increased student engagement
Creative confidence

Long-Term Vision

Statewide Expansion

Extending programming from Oʻahu to Kauaʻi, Maui, Molokaʻi, and Hawaiʻi Island.

Year-Round Programming

Delivering multiple creative education events and workshops throughout the year.

The Noyle Foundation is powered by the generosity of sponsors, partners, and donors who believe every student in Hawaiʻi deserves access to world-class creative education.
