Career & Technical Education
As one of the largest Career and Technical Education (CTE) providers in the State, Kapi`olani Community College endeavors to greatly influence and expand Hawai‘i’s skilled workforce and economy. In February, the nation celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the importance that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. Kapi`olani CC will host its inaugural CTE Week with a focus on empowering youths and adult learners with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in technical fields, raising CTE awareness and opportunities in the community, and engaging with industry to the elevate the importance of strengthening the workforce with new, skilled, and in-demand job candidates.
In addition to panel discussions, presentations, and demonstrations featuring our college programs, we will host special appreciation events for our industry professionals, alumni, sponsors and donors. Center stage for the event will be our collaboration with PhotoCON Hawai`i 2024, infusing national top creative media professionals, educators, and enthusiasts who are focusing on our Career & Technical Education programs to help us tell our story of student successes.
